20% of annual APEEE membership fee receipts is reserved to assist families who encounter financial difficulties for one reason or another in the course of the current year. Unused amounts are reintegrated in the general budget. Additional amounts can sometimes be authorised by the management committee.

Help can potentially be provided towards any item of expenditure, but in practice is generally used for larger expenses such as assistance with school fees (the 'minerval') and participation in residential school trips (notably Year 5 primary and Year 6 secondary).

Only paid-up APEEE members are eligible to receive assistance. Eligibility for assistance is then established on the basis of strict income criteria.

Requests for assistance should in all cases first be addressed to the school administration. Once their decision is known, the dossier can then be passed to the APEEE. All requests are treated in strict confidence.
