The European School System is designed around 'language
sections'. Other things being equal, it is desirable that they be created and
operated for all children from earliest opportunity. However, there are strict
rules for the opening and closing of language sections, relating to the numbers
of pupils - and the issue of cost-sharing where no section is yet created and
Member States do not yet second teachers, is the subject of intense debate at
Board of Governors level. In the Luxembourg school(s), language sections have
not yet been created for children from all the EU Member States - and
arrangements are put in place to accommodate them in other language sections on
a temporary basis. This page provides information relating to children attending
the school(s) for whom no language section has yet been
created. |
